Games of Summer 2005

I believe that summer is here now, definately in UK, still a bit chilly but the sun is out for a hansome amount of time to satisfy the most dormant burrowed geek.

Anyways, this summer there will be many things to do, places to go, relax, party, drink (Karl) etc., including playing games. Summer is usually not so hot for games with the exceptional Blizzard release, Max Payne or Doom3 but this summer seems so different. These are the games that I will be playing, and so should anyone who does:

World of Warcraft: the addict' personal favourite, I am going to reactivate my account once my exams are over. I am in EU so that means I will be playing on EU-Twilight's Hammer Alliance side, fader (Mike) from #3dfx recently switched there from the server Crashridge that was dominated by Spaniards.

Battlefield2 : Absolutely every person must buy this game and play it. Hook yourself up with XFIRE and play! Several people have been eagerly awaiting this game including me. When the first Battlefield 1942 came out I was leading a large clan of about 20 people in tournaments to victory, I was pretty good because I loved playing this game! Battlefield 2 is ideally the same thing with a new theme, modern combat.

Guild Wars: I don't have this yet, but it is on my to get list, get it too. Do not compare it to WoW or you will be hanged:

(02:24)Ciddy: IS GUILD WAR BETTER THAN WORLD OF WARCRAFT?
(02:27)Zenon_: . tempban Ciddy
(02:27)—›kick: (Ciddy) was kicked by (Ameriduh) (You have been banned for 60 seconds.)

I don't watch tv...

.. but it was very interesting to see someone point out that a Russian Miss Universe from Canada won the Miss Universe contest this year. A few years ago Russia also won the contest, I'm proud!

Check out this picture from last year, this Canadian contestant was smoking or what not.

Perpendicularexation

My three months of College have come and gone, a lot faster than I expected, now I am into the final week of 'studying' for my exams which start on the 7th of June.

I have always looked with vexation upon my birthday, because my education absolutely always and constantly gets in the way of it. It IS supposed to be one day, but you'd like it to be one day that lets you slack off for the rest of the weekend and have some fun. A few years ago I've had exams on my birthday, now it isn't much different except for I have a few days breathing room.
Anyways, having woken up like 30 minutes ago I am still acting like an ape, really tired and yawny. Today is a very special day to me because one year ago I met my angel girl, Lena. It's been one hell of a ride, we don't live in the same countries yet and the Internet has been our focal point of communication with the ocassional trips to Toronto, Tunisia and London. All of that is changing as I plan to move out this summer, for the absolute best. I cannot wait!

Jobs, they suck. I've been casually looking for a part time job before college and didn't have any luck. Now I plan to be working full time after my exams. Seeing as how I am a party qualified accountant I hope my luck changes and I will be happy at least for a few months. Gotta go run errands and study now. Be sure to check out #3dfx on EFNET irc.
